About the Designer & Practice
Shaping Interiors guided by a concept-led approach to interior design, where each project begins with understanding how a space is used and experienced, Design decisions are shaped by context - existing space, colour, materials, and the rhythms of daily life.
Founded by Interior designer, Rebecca Rourke, the practice focuses on spatial planning, surface finishes and furniture compositions that support flow. Consideration is given how people circulate, gather, rest, and work within a space, resulting in interiors that feel easy, timeless, comfortable and enjoyable.
Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Interior Design (First Class Honours) and a Certificate IV in Arts, specializing in Interior Decoration. Her work is grounded in a strong understanding of colour, texture and detail - ensuring each element contributes meaningfully to the whole.
Projects span residential and hospitality, with the emphasis on spaces that balance clarity with warmth. Through a thoughtful concept process, ideas are developed with care so interiors feel cohesive, purposeful and distinctive - a considered response to each client brief.
